DOP[1] Queso Afuega’l Pitu is the regulatory body for the Afuega’l Pitu cheese. The official name of the group is Consejo Regulador de la DOP Afuega´l Pitu.

Inaugurated on August 6, 2003 by recognition of the EU, it began certifying cheese makers in 2008.
