Eating Asturias uses the MLA 9th edition format for citations.
Though the MLA discourages the use of explanatory or digressive notes, I use them extensively as content notes to amplify, explain words, justify scope, provide examples, counterexamples, identify allusions, point out areas of future research, and acknowledge uncited persons.
Each reference should fall into either the citations or notes categories, and both should be included at the end of each article.
