As is to be expected, the largest port in Asturias has a diet that revolves around seafood. Local favorites include oricios (sea urchins) and pixín (monkfish). The dessert bollo de Pascua is popular. The city itself is known for sausages like longaniza d’Aviles and pastries such as nieyemitas.
