This excellent market (pronounced La Paradiecha by the way) is one of the most unique market experiences in all of Asturias, and one I encourage everyone to attend. In my years in Spain, this is the closest I've come to finding the sort of farmer's market I grew up with in the States.

All of the stalls are run by the producers, most of whom are very local. Food dominates. From local farms offering their vegetables to local makers of canned preserves, sausages, breads, and beer - all of the bounty of Asturias is offered along with local handicrafts. Pottery, woodwork, handmade musical instruments, and fiber crafts round out the offerings.

Workshops commence with morning yoga and continue throughout the day, and the market wraps up with a communal meal at the bar around the corner.
